Mom!
This week, Elder Crosland and I have
worked the hardest that I have ever worked in my whole entire life! Everyday we worked from sun up to sun down and we have three people
preparing for baptism! But, transfers
just happened and, of course, I just got jipped again. We have been moved to Batu Kawa in Kuching to
white wash that area. We will basically
have to start all over again! Plus, we
have to turn over all of our investigators to the Sisters. It is just sooo stressful! I can see that it is going to be another
stressful couple of months, but I'm sure everything will work out. Transfers
are exciting, but sometimes they are depressing and frustrating (usually just
depressing). It’s hard not to be able to see the results of all the hard work that
we put in, but I am sure the Sisters will be able to hold their own--they are
probably the best set of Sisters that I’ve served with.
Yesterday after church, we
ran home, threw some rice down, left again, and worked for like five hours. We ended
up working in pouring rain until we got home at 10. At 10:30, we are supposed
to report all of the district leaders’ numbers for the week, but we both laid down
on the ground in our wet clothes and didn’t wake up until 11:30! I just looked at the clock, changed into dry
clothes, and fell right back asleep! That was the most tired that I’ve ever been.

With this last transfer,
some of the missionaries went home, so I got a nice bike for 150RM--about 40
USD!!! SOOO cheap--I’m way pumped!! So,
other than that not too much has happened!
It’s crazy how fast time
is flying!! I still don’t know how I am going to send all of my cool stuff
home. I have a 3-foot long hand-made Iban shield! I might send everything home on a slow boat
in December. Everything should get there
a couple months before I come home. I love you mom and I never forget the quote, "Be the missionary your mother is praying for!" AMEN TO THAT!
Love you,
Elder Madsen
